First Nations Housing Conference 2018

Together design lab team members attended the First Nation Housing Conference in Thunder Bay this week to co-present with Nibinamik community partners on their experiences with developing the community's new housing policy.

​

The team discussed the importance of a community led process and how it can lead to a unique community housing policy. Housing has an important impact on individual and community wellness. By continually engaging community members of all ages and abilities throughout the process, members are able to not only contribute to the physical side of housing but also the social aspect of housing. 

​

The together design lab appreciated the opportunity to share their experience and talk with attendees at FNHC 2018.
