The together design lab’s partnership with Eabametoong First Nation continues with the start of a new project on developing a community-led housing policy.

 

The first workshop took place earlier this month with the team by asking the question 'What is housing policy?' and discussing why it is an important part of managing housing in Eabametoong. 

 

Two days of workshop were held where the team was able to meet with community members, including Elders and youth, as well community leaders to begin to talk about the current housing policy and what a new policy could look like. Workshop activities also focused on identifying values and principles that will become the foundation of the community housing policy.
