Bearskin Lake First Nation and the together design lab team began its first community workshop on housing policy! Participation was high at the workshop with many community members sharing ideas on what the community's housing policy should look like.

 

The team spoke with Elders, youth, Council and Housing Committee members to learn more about housing needs and community perspectives. Students were engaged in mapping and other activities to learn more about important places in the community and what they love about their community.

The first workshop and community meetings are an important first step in creating a community led housing policy. Learnings from the workshop will help shape future activities and discussions.
